I am a surgery resident and I am very concerned about the future of medicine and surgery.  It is my opinion that the growing cost of healthcare could eventually destroy my profession.  As a result, patients who need care will greatly suffer.  I want this blog to be a forum for individuals to discuss healthcare costs and their future implications.  I hope that my inside view of the healthcare system as a doctor will help provide a different perspective.
